LifeLine's 24/7 telephone counselling is a process of exploring caring ways to resolve your situation in an anonymous, compassionate and supportive environment.
The service is there to support you, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
It's not about giving you quick-fix solutions or blaming you, or telling you what's right or wrong: but more about truly listening to what you have to say and working with you to find your own answers.
When someone picks up the phone and calls us, it can be the first important step towards positive change in their life.
LifeLine does not 'do it for you': rather, it empowers you, supports you and encourages you towards the change you desire. In this way LifeLine can enable you to gain a new perspective and a new direction.

Why Phone?

Who are the Telephone Counsellors?
Our 24/7 telephone counsellors are volunteers who undertake rigorous training and supervision to enable them to offer a quality service.
Counsellors come from all walks of life and have all sorts of personal experiences - but they all share some common values - an empathetic attitude of acceptance, compassion and sensitivity togehter with adherence to the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. |
