ASIST is a 2 day interactive workshop in suicide first aid that trains you to recognize when a person may be at risk of suicide and intervene to keep them safe by linking them to helping networks and services.  Not only is it a workshop for those with a commitment to suicide prevention but, more importantly, it enables you to recognize suicidal thoughts and know what to do to keep a caller safe until other services are engaged. Sound like you?

Four weekend workshops have been scheduled to meet the flexibility volunteers often request. If you would like to know weekday dates please contact us. The dates are:

August 2 – 3 (weekend)
September 6 –7 (weekend)
October 4 –5 (weekend)
November 8 –9 (weekend)

Registration fee includes resources, materials and the input of two trained ASIST facilitators…just bring your lunch. You will find this safe, effective, research-based training immediately useful for your next Lifeline shift.
