Welcome to the April issue of our newsletter.
In this issue you will find "Protecting the future and honouring the past" - part two of last month's article discussing the business realities that exist in operating LifeLine with some ideas for our future funding direction.
Also in this issue is an article by Rita Inch pondering the advancement of "Video Phone" technologies and the implications this could have for our services and Denis Bunbury poses the question "Who is Jack Reacher?" - read on to find out more!

I wonder....the challenge of changing technology

Just recently I have seen Telecom commercials for what I think are video phones. One of them shows a mother in New Zealand - seeing and talking to her son in the US, and somewhere in the US her son is seeing and talking to her.
It is obviously a deeper, more meaningful level of contact and I have been wondering about its possible future impact on both telephone and face to face counselling......

Who is Jack Reacher? by Denis Bunbury
The easy answer is: Jack Reacher is the 'defeat all-comers' male hero of a series of detective thriller novels (millions of copies sold) written by Lee Child.
In some respects Reacher (that's how he likes to be known) resembles another popular character, Harry Bosch, author Michael Connelly's solve-all-cases-type detective.
At their respective author's bidding, both these figures have leapt from novel to novel over the years, each bringing conclusion to cases that no one else would be capable of resolving. Heroes indeed!......
