Tap Out the Taboo

The amazing team from Axis Jiu-Jitsu New Zealand are hosting an open mat in aid of Lifeline at their gym in Christchurch called Tap Out the Taboo. All clubs are welcome, the cost is $20 to roll and all proceeds are going to Lifeline to help us be there for those in distress and prevent suicide. Auckland Round the Bays - join team Lifeline!

Come and join Team Lifeline at Round the Bays as we run and walk to raise funds to support Lifeline. The Ports of Auckland Round the Bays fun run is an 8.4km flat course from the Auckland CBD to St Heliers Bay.

We’re looking forward to this fun day out and raising much needed funds for Lifeline.

NZ Chilli Eating Champs

The 2nd NZ Hot Sauce Festival is happening this may and as well as live music, food trucks, BBQ pits and the final of the chilli eating champs - they will also be raising money for Lifeline. This years event is being dedicated to a previous 2012 Runner Up who sadly took his life last year.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)Lifeline's ASIST training is a 2-day intensive, interactive and practical course designed to help community members:
  • Recognise suicidal signs through changes in behaviour
  • Have confidence to be able to approach the person
  • Know what to say and assess risk and safety needs
  • Know where to access further support and other professional assistance.

safeTALK Training for Schools and CommunitiesLifeline's safeTALK workshop is a 4 hour suicide intervention workshop, tailored towards community leaders, teachers, senior high school students, parents and school communities. safeTALK helps you with skills to identify people who may be at risk of taking their own life and have the confidence to be able to approach the person, and talk about suicide as well as the knowledge as to where you can access further support and other professional assistance.
