Dear Friend
As a friend, volunteer or supporter of LifeLine we welcome you to the first issue of this monthly "e-newsletter". We hope you will enjoy finding out a little more about our organisation.
With February already upon us and the Christmas "break"well and trully over many of us have returned to our everyday lives sporting either a sunburn, a full-on head cold or the feeling that we need a holiday!
Whatever our woes "why we are here" remains constant - to respond to people wherever they may be in order to help them work through their issues and to protect, strengthen and nuture the emotional wellbeing of the people who choose to talk to us.
What our counsellors do is a vital human service. The power of the human voice in a time of need is priceless. In his article "A Process that Heals", Denis Bunbury examines this powerful effect. Also in this issue, Rita Inch disusses some of the pitfalls of the ubiquitous "New Year's Resolution"....
Best wishes
Bryan Wilshire, Chief Executive

So.....Did you make a New Year Resolution?
By Rita Inch
For some reason the beginning of a new year causes us to think about doing things differently - to be fitter, healthier, wealthier, a "better" partner, parent, son, daughter or friend...New Year Resolutions are easy to make and even easier to break

LifeLiners Farewelled
January 2007 has seen the passing of two of Lifeline's very significant volunteers. Two women who were there in the beginning and helped grow the agency into the skilled, professional and efficient service it is to-day. Both of them made a huge contribution towards Lifeline's quality of work and ground breaking processes.
