Adeela Afiz
I am employed by Youthline and have been working on the FVIL line since it first started in 2007. I have been involved with the Youthline organisation since I left high school at the end of 2004, when I began training to become a telephone counselor. Since then I have moved through the various stages of Youthline training and also volunteered as a youth mentor for the Youthline VOICE programme which is life skills for young people. I am very passionate about youth work and service to the community as well as anything to do with people which is why is why I love this job!
I am currently in my final year of my 5 year bachelors degree to become a Chiropractor and am currently seeing patients in our student clinic in Ellerslie. I'm looking forward to graduating at the end of this year and beginning work as well as staying involved with volunteer work and community service. When I'm not doing that, I love reading, shopping, sports and of course socialising with family and friends. :)
