As Lifeline embarks on the August recruitment for telephone counsellor volunteers, we reflect on the balance giving back to the community can bring to our lives. One aspect of this may be a stronger sense of self- acceptance and Denis Bunbury reflects upon 'accepting myself as I really am.'

	Suicide Bereavement Training in Taranaki by Brendan Bergin On the 20th May the alarm on my mobile phone wrestled me from sleep at 5.00am. Momentary crisis- no idea what’s happening, who is calling.
