Makaia Carr

Makaia is the incredibly talented founder of inspirational online businesses Motivate Me NZ and M Fit Ltd. Makaia has since sold both businesses and is now focusing on blogging, social media, public speaking and mentoring. An advocate for women’s wellness and mental health, Makaia is passionate about the role that Lifeline plays in supporting people and preventing suicide. We are thrilled to have Makaia as an official ambassador for Lifeline.

Jake Millar

Makaia Carr

Jake is a 21-year-old entrepreneur who founded media start up OOMPHER (sold to Careers NZ in 2015) and is now growing his latest media company, Unfiltered. Through this Jake has interviewed the most successful business leaders in the world, from Sir Richard Branson to Ashton Kutcher. While at Christchurch Boy’s High School, Jake experienced bullying for not being in the ‘cool crowd’ and for generally trying too hard. He knows how brutal and hard this type of environment can be for a young person and believes the best way to overcome depression is to talk about it. Jake is passionate about suicide prevention and will be working to support the work that Lifeline does as his role as an official ambassador.
